 IntuVision is a simple to use tool that monitors your Intuity Audix and gives you a very simple view of critical system information. How does it work?

IntuVision's architecture is fairly simple. It gets data exported from Intuity automatically, then interprets the information and summarizes the data. then the information is used to present the views in a useful and user-friendly way.

 

All you need to get IntuVision working is to schedule a nightly export for specific data in Intuity. This can be done with ASA - the tool that is used for terminal emulation administration of the systems. This tool is readily available from the manufacturer. Step-by-step instructions will be given to you on how to set this up. The process usually takes only 10 to 20 minutes if you already have ASA installed in a computer. IntuVision will extract this data automatically when you open it and in a matter of seconds the data will be consolidated for you to view the reports.

For long is the historical data kept?

By default, Intuity keeps 30 days of statistical information. However, the exported information from Intuity can be cumulative, so the source file for IntuVision can incrementally grow as long each day. So from the very first day, you will have 30 days worth of data, but this information can keep growing for several years worth of data.

 

What are the requirements for IntuVision?

You don't need any programming or report development skills. All the work has been done for you. All you need is to basic knowledge of the Avaya Site Administration tool and we'll show you the step-by-step process to setup the automatic exporting of data. Once you set this up, the data will be updated daily and any time that you open IntuVision, the data will be there for you to view.

 

IntuVision does not need to run on a dedicated PC. You do need, however, to have a PC running ASA so that the exported data is appended automatically every day. Most telecom departments already have this anyway, for other batch processes. This PC does not have to be dedicated to this process. Any PC that is running 24x7 can be setup to perform this process in addition to other tasks that it might be performing.
